How to Book an FHR Hotel
FHR bookings must be made through Amex Travel (amextravel.com) to receive the benefits. You can pay with your Amex card, Membership Rewards points, or a combination. The $300 Amex Platinum hotel credit applies automatically to prepaid bookings. Rates are typically the same as or close to the hotel’s own website — the FHR benefits are additive on top.
The total value of FHR benefits per stay is often $400–$600 depending on the property and your stay length. Paired with award miles for your flight, a full luxury trip to Paris, London, or Tokyo can cost a fraction of what you’d pay booking everything at retail.
